About this role

  • Explore and analyze output from new chemical analytical instrumentation, sensors and arrays.
  • Improve the accuracy of the chemometric models.
  • Develop new models for aroma and taste extraction from high throughput analytical data.
  • Collaborate with the food science team in growing the quality and quantity of our client's flavor database.

About you

  • You are a critical and strategic thinker with a fearless attitude. At the same time you are able to collaborate with others and adapt to the dynamic nature of the business.
  • A MS (PhD Preferred) preferable chemistry or bio-engineering (or Physics, Stats with experience in chemistry). Preferably, you have experience in chemometrics or -informatics.
  • You like exploring and testing various types of molecular descriptors for building heuristic algorithms, statistical and machine learning models.
  • You have experience in industry-standard python packages numpy, scipy, scikit-learn, pandas, keras, matplotlib/plotly.
  • You have knowledge in statistics (parametric and non-parametric tests, regression techniques) and common data analysis techniques like PCA and hierarchical clustering.
  • You also have experience in training and validation of machine learning models.
