About this role

  • Manage purchase contracts for projects & operation within scope.
  • Ensure material delivery.
  • Analyze and monitor parts to ensure coverage to meet production schedule.
  • Define Purchasing strategy jointly with Operations with regards to on-time delivery.
  • Modify quantity and technical modification of the order continuously according to project’s needs.
  • Ensure supplier’s quality is according to technical specifications and collaborate with Quality and Supplier Performance team to minimize non-conformity costs.
  • Collaborate with other functions to ensure project success by representing Supply Management at meetings and work autonomously to resolve problems, but bring to management’s attention if required.
  • Assessing risk in the supply and align with Procurement Manager on acceptable level of risk of the project and take it into consideration for the commercial negotiation with the supplier.
  • Develop supplier “best in class” performance.
  • Maintain fluent relationship with suppliers.
  • Expedite suppliers to ensure delivery of purchase parts on time.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and issue purchase orders or entire frame contract for dedicated projects.
  • Ensure proper management of supplier contract and apply chargeback when justified.
  • Manage material cost reduction activities.
  • Explore continuously material cost reduction opportunities.
  • Organize workshops internally and with suppliers in order to identify technical optimization and improvements based on a Total Cost of Ownership approach.
  • Review major procurement levers to improve costs : Renegotiation, Resourcing and Redesign.

About you

  • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility
  • Engineering degree, Commercial degree with technical background
